The 6 best QB's we've seen this year...

Now he's saying CJ wasn't under pressure lol. He also said CJ "gave the other team the ball" on the int.
CJ WASN'T under pressure ALL game, like some were saying. On that play, he missed his hot route, wasn't ready for the snap and held the ball too long....what is so hard for you to understand?

Held the ball too long? The guy blitzing timed the snap almost perfectly and was barely even touched by Crosten.

CJ won us lots of games we easily could have lost because he made plays necessary to win. You need that from the QB position and Rudock didn't provide it. He wasn't the reason we lost games, he just was never a reason we won either. CJ could have made plays in those games and got us wins.

CJ never had a chance to win the game against MSU because there was no time left when they took the lead. Against North Dakota State, he never really had a chance either because we had the ball for 3 plays in the last 12 minutes or so of the game. Those 3 plays were run, run, quick sack. You can say he should have checked out of the runs but in that situation there is a good chance he was told not to.

You like to talk about our run defense last year but it got absolutely gouged the last 4 games or so and we still won them.

It's one thing to say we lost because of CJ (we didn't, he just didn't do anything to win it either). But it's another to say Stanley is better.

Your post rips on CJ worse than most of the posts you call out for ripping players. Another example of why you're full of crap.
I made a great 'point' that I should have known would be totally lost on the likes of you and a few others....HE HAD THE 'WHOLE' GAME TO WIN THE GAMES AGAINST MSU AND NDSU, lol.....You don't have a chance to win a game until your last possession? lol.. If you 'execute' (CJ) well the WHOLE game, you don't have to try to win the game at the end, lol.....You are in your own little world my friend, lol...............

I see cyfan trolls are among us in a lot of threads. They of course aren't talking about the clowns because there's no light at the end of the tunnel. They're pretending to be Hawk fans and promoting the gloom and doom.

You can only make plays to "put your team in position to win" early in the game. Sometimes that's enough, like the ISU game where he made play after play after play. Sometimes it's not enough. Like the MSU game where he made a play to put us in position, then MSU made plays to take the game at the end.

Sometimes the qb can make plays the whole game to put you in a really good position and the other team can make a bunch of plays at the very end to take the lead. When that happens, sometimes you have a chance to make one last play, like Pitt. And sometimes there is no time left, like yesterday.

Are you suggesting that CJ should be so good that no team should ever even have a chance to win the game late? Or are you suggesting that Rudock was? I'm suggesting that CJ gives us a better chance to win more often than Rudock did by making more plays, both throughout the game and late in the game.

This just in guys. It's possible to lose games with CJ as the starter. Who would have known if not for Ickehawk. He thinks we should play the qb who makes it impossible for the other team to win evidently. I agree, suit that guy up.

Even tho I now know this (thanks again Ickehawk), I still think CJ is a really good qb. I still think he was without a doubt the better option in '14 and I still would bet a large chunk of money he is better than Stanley now.

Why do you hate CJ so much? Are you Jake's dad trolling us?

I do get the feeling this is a Rudock thing. If we had either of Jake's offensive lines yesterday from 2013 or 2014 we win by 4 TD's. Not to mention we beat MSU last year and make the playoffs. As it were, we started two players that have almost zero experience (ISU shouldn't count), and the remaining three OL aren't world beaters for sure. It's really frustrating and ironic that we finally have the QB but we don't have what KF is known for.

Hate CJ??? Wow, you folks are just amazing. I made some really good points and comparisons that are simply lost on some of you. And I don't think you will ever 'get' it.... I'm not sure if your unwilling or incapable?

Make plays the whole game? Like Pitt? lol!!! yeah, that pick he through that lead to a short TD was a great play, lol. I can go on about all the 'plays' CJ made against Pitt. Lol...And how did you manage to make this about Rudock AGAIN? Like I keep saying, you are in your own little world.... of delusions......At least try to figure out a way for your 'delusions' to make some sort of sense....It's almost like you know absolutely nothing about football, except maybe how to play 'fantasy football'. I would love to sit down with you and watch replays of games and explain ALL kinds of things to you, but I doubt you are willing or maybe even capable of learning anything. You don't seem interested. You just seem to enjoy sharing uninformed, moronic opinions..........You are a serious waste of my time, and I am going to put an end to it..............Go back to arguing with Deanvog or whoever it was you annoyed before me, which was probably everyone. On all the sites I've seen, you probably know the least about football than any poster I've ever read, but love to give more 'opinions' than most. Goodbye!

You don't make any good points about CJ, that you also make about Jake. Iowa has lost 1 regular season game in 16 (is 15-1 in regular season starts) by CJ, and is 15-3 overall. Jake was 14-9 during his regular season career as a starter and 14-11 overall as a starter. Of Jakes 14 total wins as a 2 year starter, basically CJ earned one of those for Jake during the Pitt game in '14 when he came in at half to lead us back to a come from behind win.

So if you want to say that the 1 loss CJ has in the regular season is "all on him", then you also need to point out that Jake lost 9 games then over two years. Yet instead you try to claim that those losses by Jake were the D's fault. You want to say the D was the problem in '14, but you conveniently leave out that the '13 (18.9 PPG) defense was certainly better than anything we had in '15 (20.4 PPG). Jake could only mange 8 wins in '13 compared to CJ's 12 in '14.

If you can't see that a QB that is 15-1 as a regular season starter is a lot better than a guy who was 14-9, then it isn't even a question of if you know anything about football, because you don't. Sure there are lots of factors that go into win, and I'm not the guy who is saying that CJ was the SOLE reason. Yet it isn't like the '15 defense was some sort of machine, heck it isn't even a top 5 Defense under KF. Yet even though it wasn't a top 5 defense under KF, it was the best regular season, and as good of overall season ever under KF, and you want to pretend that Jake "could have done the same". LOLOLOLOL.......

Bye....

Ps. I'd be shocked if you could find a single poster on this site that doesn't believe you're light years more annoying. But I know, "us people" don't know nothin.

Seriously, anyone, find one poster. As you say, there's hundreds who read here and don't post....ya just need 1. Anyone?

IckeDouche reminds me of Niedermeyer from Animal House...you know, "killed in Vietnam, by his own troops". When you point out that he felt our run defense was great and made comments to that effect after the Iowa State game, well, he just doesn't respond to facts. Facts are inconvenient.

Well first off, there is pretty much always going to be one so odds are he could find one. He might have to use an alt tho. If there are even 5 people on here that find me more annoying than him, I might have to off myself.

Second of all, if I can seriously run this guy off, I might just go down as the greatest poster in the history of this site.

Remember, JJ didn't start getting doubled because he was dominating the game, he got doubled because we lined him up in one tech, or whatever term it was he used to try to cover up how dumb the rest of his post was.

He made a lot of good plays in the Pitt game. Why do you hold CJ to such a high standard but at the same time talk about how good Rudock was? Why don't you nit pick Jakes game like you do CJs,
