if we can get flurries of 3pt shooting like that were going to be rough... the prob is we rarely do that.

McCabe had a lot of open shots today and really wasn't close.

McCabe was bad today. No other way to put it. I remembe two wide open, and I mean WIDE open, 3's that resulted in air balls.. But the stretch where Oglesby, White & Gesell hit 3's (I got that right, didn't I?) that totally turned the game around. No way to undervalue guys that can shoot it from deep.

I'm starting to wonder why white doesn't shoot more 3s. He doesn't attempt them often but he is shooting at a high percentage. I'd bet he's over 50%

It was Gessel, White and Uthoff who hit the three straight. But you are dead on....completely changed the game.

mccabe is struggling on his shot right now big time
I thought Uthoff hit one of those in that stretch. From top of the key. I could have it wrong.
Doesn't matter. Awesome.

You could be right - I don't recall. I just know we hit a few threes in a key stretch when we had to have it.

the 3 we hit in a row were Oglesby, White, than Uthoff.... Gessell hit one not to long before that also.
White's shooting 27% this year while only attempting 11. He's a career 25% 3-point shooter. I think he's figured out that's not his strong point.

They didn't take very many in the first half, either. They don't have a Diebler/Redick/Curry type three point shooter, but Marble, Oglesby, Gesell and Uthoff are all guys I'd feel good about with an open look; Marble also gets off better shots because of his height. None of them are elite, but they're all good. from behind the arc.

Wow, Iowa wins in C-bus against a top 5 team and complaints start. Pal, thing is, we have a deep bench. Guys have off nights, but with a bench like ours, someone will be hot almost every game. Fran is still adjusting to the B1G, but you can bet that come April, we won't be coming home with the runner-up trophy like we did last year.

Wow... My guess was way off. I really figured he was like 4-8 or closer to 50%.
I stand corrected. He has hit a couple in big moments including today and the one in OT vs Nova.
No, the three we hit in succession were Geselle, then White, then Uthoff. A possession or so later, Oglesby missed one, but then made one the next time down the floor.
