That was.....satisfying???

Or we can stop having games on fields not made for football......It was blatenly clear that field was shit
ALL such comments need to be directed to the B1G commissioner, Mr. "New York is the best, even this time of year." NO REASON anyone should have to tolerate a bowl like this. We'd've been better having a "frozen tundra" bowl in Green Bay - at least you know what you're going to get there.
But no doubt - somebody's idea of a BAD joke.

Yes considering we haven't won a bowl in 10 years I'll take it. We had a shot at the CFP two years ago. It may happen again before Stanley graduates. But one step at a time. It all adds to our history.

Actually playing in Green Bay would have been much better. They have a real football field there with a state of the art heating system that would have prevented the field from being frozen like a lake pond.

But overall I enjoyed the game very much. Drinks, friends, good food and comfortably out of the cold.

Iowa made the best out of a bad situation (embarrassingly bad field conditions). I’m not so sure this game would have been “ugly” in reasonable conditions. The frozen diamond benefitted BCs slogging RB and short throw passing game.

If the B1B/ACC and or the NCAA insist they want a Bowl game in NYC, please play said game in the $1B stadium across the way. NFL stadiums require heating coils for a reason. They play outdoor games at all venues in Dec and Jan! Guess what, they are on to something.

That's an important point. Those conditions definitely favor a power running game, versus a finesse running scheme.

We didn't play great, but that at least adds to the win somewhat.

winning = you won the pinstripe bowl, the ultimate participation trophy
losing = you lose 6 consecutive bowl games.
I'll take winning a bad bowl to break the ridiculous losing streak...........the last 3 by embarrassing margins.

One of the best things IMO from this bowl win is that those socialist, scum-sucking pukes that slither around Bristol, CT are now forced to report on their poor excuse for a network that the Iowa Hawkeyes from the B1G won a bowl game.

Leading up to the game - Downer Iowa fan - "IOWA HAS TO WIN THIS GAME! SNAP THE STREAK! FERENTZ IS 7-5 EVERY YEAR, MOST IMPORTANT GAME EVER"

Iowa wins

"Meh, it was the crappy pinstripe bowl over a bad opponent, bowl games are exhibitions that don't matter, Ferentz is still 7-5"

Hawkeyenation the wet blanket of sports message boards.
