That was a win in kirks little note pad

Kept the game close.

Didnt have to use back up QB(We may have never seen CJB if not for injury).

No added pressure for Nebby game.

Low amounts of boos.

Got to call a ref a "f------ A-------" on tv.

Didnt have and int before half......

No fake punts...major win.

Not having to get interviewed while leaving the field as the winning coach.

Biggest win of the day- Having enough wins to go to a bowl but not too many wins that it would be a hard bowl. Not having enough wins to raise expectations but enough wins to not lose his job.

So true on all fronts. It's ironic that the boards a bit quiet cause we all feel like we can accept losing close. There Tuesday presser should be another routine underhand toss throw his way. Can base is kinda happy we kept things close. It's just unfortunate that we are happy we kept it close. We used to come unglued losing to the 16th ranked team at Kinnick now we're patting ourselves on the back for keeping Melvin in check. The ole torcher chamber (Kinnick) is more like a doll house and no one seems to notice or care. Hang in there 5 more years and we can finally turn the corner. Hope between now and the end of those 5 years we aren't looking like Purdue cause that's the feeling I am getting.

I've decided it's all a conspiracy plot to have our football program purposely go soft so that University of Iowa Hospitals can expand to where Kinnick is!!

People were torching JR & GD at half, but his performance in the 4th leaves everyone too befuddled by his Jekyll & Hyde transformation to know who to yell about. I suppose a lot are now holding fire until Friday to see if we match last year, or have digressed.

Careful Kirk supporters will claim this was a great season if Iowa wins one of the next two games. Heck it will be a good season if the last two games are close. 10 wins with this schedule should have been a cake walk.

I'm on record as wanting KF out, but KF wants to win more than you and all the haters combined. Stick to the 100's of other fair criticisms you can level at KF, crap like this just make you sound like a Jamie Pollard conspiracy theory wacko.

I'm a recovering KF supporter, but still a fence rider at times. I would say 9 wins was well within reach, normally I'm a happy 8 win guy, but this year it was 9. I still think 10 was very doable, but not a given. For me, the difference was isu and Md(mainly because we had 14 points spotted to us). If we win Friday, the game that kept this year from seeming like a pretty good year was isu.

You must not have watched KF’s postgame. There are times that being critical of KF is warranted. This is not one of those times.

Thats a joke dean. If kirk really wanted to win he would change. There is a difference. Him trying really hard to make the same game plan work is not really trying. Kirk only wants to win if its on his terms. I think what you are seeing now is kirk realizing that he is nothing without Norm. He owes every penny he has to Norm.

People can point back to the fake punt as the downfall of kirk but look at Norms last year. Norms health was kirks downfall. Kirk was never a good coach. He never had a good offensive game plan. He just had Norm.

Welp, I see the tired, old, and irrational OoTH is back. I like the BB OoTH much better.....

Only a whack job complains that a coach has a game plan.....let me give you a clue, they all do going into a game. Two coaches on Saturday at Kinnick that wanted to establish the run, play good defense and field position, and minimize turnovers to win that game. One coaches game plan was working in the first half, and they stuck to it the entire game. The other coach switched strategies at half, and started throwing the ball all over the field in an effort to win that game, because the game plan WASN'T working.

But yeah, besides that KF only wants to win "on his terms".

As I keep saying, there are many reasons to criticize KF.......going down the Jamie Pollard tin hat conspiracy theory road like you OoTH isn't a path I'm gonna get on.
