Rudock let at least 10 seconds burn off the clock prior to another throw to the middle of the field. He's scared to stretch the field and shouldn't be out there starting. I'm 100% convinced Iowa wins with CJ out there. Maryland is terrible agains the pass and Iowa never took a shot deep.
 
Not one deep ball thrown the entire game. Even when it demands we throw one to to stay in the game. You have to throw it even if it's into triple coverage to just give yourself a chance to win the game. What do we do? Throw the check down and run the clock out. So unbelievable I wouldn't expect anything else from this QB.

I've never seen a 2-minute check-down drill. Maryland hasn't either. until today.

Even Joey Galloway's voice fluctuated during that possession.
 
My favorite play was after we got a 1st down and the clock was running... Rudock looks to the sideline for the play as 10 secs run of the clock... then we throw an inc 5 yard hitch.

I just don't know how Kirk ever has managed to do what he has done.

He time and time again comes across as an utter moron to me in game management situations.

I've seen it a few times. All by Iowa.
 
Think he just was padding his stats with those. He doesnt have confidence in deep throws to complete a one on one 50/50 ball, he'll only throw to holed in coverage or man to man thats beat.
