I was just listening to Kevin Keitzman on 810 WHB here in KC (who, by the way, I absolutely cannot stand), and here were the following arguments he made as to why the Big Ten would turn down inviting Texas to the Big Ten.
1. Texas would dominate the Big Ten in football more than they currently "dominate" the Big 12, as the Big Ten is a weaker football conference.
2. The Big Ten would not want Texas to constantly be the team in the Rose Bowl and would thus be taking money away from the other members of the conference.
My point in highlighting these arguments is illustrating how misinformed people are on this subject. I will stay with my original statement on Big 10 expansion that it should either be Notre Dame (or Texas) or bust.
Go Hawks!
