Texas PUNKS isu

Do you think a bowl would do it?

If nothing else, it would make for some interesting chatter for couple weeks.

What bowls are set up to be Big Ten/Big 12? The Insight used to be.

It would set the state Iowa on it's ear, that's for sure.

I'd actually like to see an Iowa State vs Wisconsin matchup. That would be interesting.

There are no Big 12/Big 10 bowl tie ins.

This whole thread reads like whistling past the graveyard. If Montgomery starts in the first half, it's a much closer game. ISU just isn't built to come back. Freshman QB is going to Freshman QB sometimes.

It's not like iowa has beaten anyone with a pulse this season. I'm not going to throw a stone in a glass house.

Freshman Quarterback is lucky he plays in the "defenseless" league he plays in. My God, it is amazing watching a crap hole team like Kansas move the ball up and down the field on the best team in their league.

We beat Iowa State. Then again, it's rare they count as "anyone".

Most projections have a Syracuse v. ISU in the Champs Sports Bowl(not sure what it is exactly called). Actually, that would be a sneaky good game. I think both fan bases would like a sexier opponent, but both teams will be glad to be there and play all out.

We have essentially an identical resume to them. They have a slightly better best win with West Virginia, but they also have a slight worse worst loss. We won the head-to-head. Their SOS is slightly better. Both teams could very conceivably finish anywhere from 7-6 to 9-4. The obvious difference is that Iowa fans are disappointed because the season could and should have been so much better.

It's very nice to have won that head to head in convincing fashion for Iowa!

Can't disagree with being too critical of others considering our own season but the ISU/TX game was never really that close and Montgomery wasn't going to make the difference (10 carries = 33 yards). You could use the same argument about Texas #1 QB who sat out the second half. ISU was beat statistically in nearly all categories.

ost to Iowa once

and finally, almost every Big 12 team is worse than they were 3 years ago. Texas is the exception and we see how that worked out for ISU. ISU is improved but the rest of the league had taken a step back

I'll throw it as hard as I can! Stupid clowns!

ISU at 25 in the AP and dropped out of the coaches poll. Iowa barely receiving votes in either which makes no sense.

so isu took a dump on themselves when it mattered.

iowa has done that 4 times .... this season alone.

looks like it's the state of iowa football that has trouble winning games that matter.
