Texas Network







Texas is the ******** of our conferance. I cant believe theres talk of bringing this animal into the big 10. How many conferences will it kill before it can be destroyed.

Agree with this. It's the only way it would work. The Big XII TV contracts wouldn't let Texas put all of their games on their own network. ESPN, FSN, ABC and Versus would still get first crack. They would have to disassociate with the Big XII.

I think this would be a very bad decision for Texas. Sure they would rake in a ton of dough from cable subscribers in the state of Texas, but nobody outside of Texas would see them play. The national publicity you get by playing on ESPN cannot be replicated. Eventually they would lose their status as a national power and simply be a regional power.

lol, I didn't realize that the Big 12 had any tv contracts. I live in Big 12 country here in Kansas City and it seems like the only time I see a big 12 team on tv is when one of the best teams plays an ABC game..seriously, the 3 local teams here are Missouri, Kansas and K-State. They are rarely on tv. Before I moved here I thought all major conference teams had every game on tv.
