We’d have a real chance against Texas, not that that’s really any change from the last few years. I’ll be interested to see how the Clowns play them.

Iowa is a muffed punt away from being ranked there

I’d guess 7-10. It’s at Texas, and they has actually had a solid defense this year. Could be a decent game, or Texas could run away with it. It will be a good indicator of how good Iowa State and Purdue actually are.

I've watched Texas a few times this year and Iowa would smoke them by at least double digits, anyone who watches tape would put Iowa over Texas all day. Not sure if they are overrated or Iowa is underrated

Definitely the former, possibly the latter. Time will tell. Ferentz has been clobbered in too many bowl games against “faster” teams for me to be so sure.

Texas made a long road trip, played like they were dead, may have ordered pizza during a weather delay, and had lost against Maryland the previous year when they were just as bad or worse than they are now. Coach MENSA put the local media on lockdown after both Maryland games because little stories about bad prep work or assistant coaches getting pizza can snowball into crazy media deals that can get a guy fired in the crazy fish bowl college football towns like Austin.

The Big 12 is trash and everyone is overrated. OK st and TCU were both ranked just a few weeks ago and they are both awful! West Virginia might have been the most overrated team in the country going into last weeks game at ISU. Texas now holds that crown. Im 100% positive the winner of the big 12 would finish no better than 5th in the Big 10
