What's the next step on this journey
 
Interesting time to bail. Must not be cutting it, or fitting in. Being from Jersey maybe he's just not into the Midwest.
 
I'm sure if he wants to transfer, he has a lot to do to get enrolled at a new college for next semester, especially if he is looking for another offer, etc.
 
He's suffered through several injuries that have sidelined him since he's been here. I saw him within the last month in a leg brace. Not sure if health is a factor. Could be.
 
For the first time in a while we have a very solid group of DEs coming in - with a big fish hopefully in next years class. It might be a good time to move on.

Did he play this year? I dont recall his name being called. Which means he was behind Ott and meier of courses and hesse and the basketball player playing DEnd, is it Nelson?
 
I don't think he was going to end up on the outside. I think he was destined to move inside in our scheme and that would take some time.

Well being that Carl Davis and Passat are getting NFL tries and other Dee linemen from Iowa have played well in the pros why transfer if you think can play. We will see as it might be health related.

Thanks for the update Rob. I imagine the coaches are thinning out the herd a little bit to try to make this a bigger group coming in 2016. It sucks but some 2 stars aren't cut out to be D1.

Oh, I agree. Iowa has done very well sending D Linemen to the league. But guys like Daniels, Klug, LTP, Carl D busted their butts until getting a chance to start as upperclassmen. Not everybody is willing to put in the work and wait their turn. Again, could be injuries with Harris or he just doesn't want to work his way up.
 
Chronic injuries can take a lot of wind out of a guy's sails. Maybe he needs a fresh start closer to home. Hope he finds a good place to reset.
 
Finally caught up with TH last night. He confirmed that he's transferring out of Iowa. He didn't say why but my guess is playing time.

I told him I was sorry to see him go (covered his recruitment, nice kid), and he said "Same here but I got to do what I got to do for my family."

He said he's not ready to announce where's he's going.
 
Stayed after the spring practice in Des Moines and Doyle had him running sprints. He must have been in the dog house. Big athletic dude. I was hoping he could be a break out next year. Not so much
