Tennessee vs. UMass

Iowa would beat UMass but that's because they would play to Iowa's style. They aren't physical (like Iowa) either. Unfortunately, Tennessee is and Iowa couldn't match that and neither can UMass. Iowa needs to fix that issue this off season.

Stokes is pretty hard to stop. Since their defense stepped up they became the team all their fans thought they were suppose to be to start the year. I wonder even if they could compete against MSU the way theyre playing right now.

No. MSU now, kicks TN's arse.

The more I think about it, when Marble made that shot to tie and force OT...we should have went for the 3 at the buzzer. Really should have done that. We miss we lose. We go to OT, we surely lose. If it goes in....

The Hawks were punished for playing great defense down low again tenn.

Tennessee's Big Men (Maymon and Stokes): 80 Mins, 3 live ball fouls, 11 FGA, 15 FTA
Iowa's Big Men (Basabe, Olaseni, Woodbury, McCabe): 77 Mins, 16 live ball fouls, 19 FGA, 6 FTA

In hindsight yes. That said, this place is melting down either way.

Absolutely hilarious anyone is still talking about the officiating. Games are officiated. Teams deal with it.

Officiating didn't have a damn thing to do with the way this season went.

Dude, you are full of crap if you honestly beleive that. When officiating is not not called fairly,it absolutely affects the outcome of a game. Its hard to make shots when you get hacked going to the rim and nothing is called, but on the other end,if you touch the other player they get the and 1 or 2 foul shots. Calls can affect momentum. Now,I'll give credit to other team for taking advantage of those free throws and making them. There were games that missed free throws cost us the game ,EX. MSU at home. Tennesse is screwed when 1 of their big bodies gets in foul trouble since they have no one comparable to back them up.

I assume he just said that to make an extreme argument against the "blame the refs" crowd. There is no way anyone who has watched college basketball can be of the opinion that officials never play a factor in the outcome of games.

Tenn- 67 UMASS- 46

Appears right team advanced.

UT won..so yeah.

This game has nothing to do with whether or not the right team advanced one way or the other.

If Iowa was just a slightly more intelligent and or composed team, or gotten consistent officiating, they would have advanced to beat Umass who is not good.

Iowa UT was a ridiculous play in game, should have been Nebraska vs Dayton.
