Good defensive team, allowing only 61.1 points per game, 16th best in nation.

Poor shooting team (44.7%) and only 33.6% from 3-range. 71% at the FT line. With the good defense, I guess they don't need to shoot that well. Only 13 assists a game.

Good rebounding team, 38.8 per game, 20th best in nation.

Take pretty good care of the basketball, 11 turnovers a game.

As with Iowa, many of their 12 losses were closely contested games.

I expect a close game Wednesday.

Go Hawkeyes!

Man this game is a nightmare for me , because I'm a huge TN fan and Iowa fan. I don't think I'm going to watch it. LOL

So they'll end up shooting over 50% from the field and 45% from 3 and 85% from FT line given recent trends against Iowa? I kid, I kid. GO HAWKS!

Whether Tenn is a good defensive teams or not, I don't know. I know that the SEC after FLA and KY is an average league. Iowa, however, has been playing below-average ball.

If it's a close game, Hawks lose.

I don't know much about Tennessee. But Seth Greenberg just said they are one of the most physical teams in the country. Normally this would be bad news for us as teams like to be physical and slow down our offense, relying on the fact that in the B1G they don't call fouls for hand checks, bumps, and holds very often. So IF, big if, If the refs revert to the non-conference form of officiating where physical play will be called fouls, then we could find ourselves at the line a lot. If so, advantage Iowa. If they officiate like they did in the B1G it will be a tough night.

It will be like playing Ohio State again...their twin if there ever was one. Mike and Josh are going to need to be huge and hit a few early to create driving lanes for themselves and for Dev.
