Tennessee- Michigan game

Normally, I would have rooted for Tennessee (after rooting for Iowa), but I was so upset on how bad the officiating was in the Iowa-Tennessee game, that I had to root for Michigan.

I still think that the officiating in the Iowa-Tennessee was the most lopsided officiating I've seen in this tournament, and I've watched most of the games.

I'm probably sure that Tennessee played 45 minutes against Iowa and was not once called for an offensive foul, and, now CBS is spending 5 minutes, alone, on this call.
Michigan had that game put away multiple times and let Tennessee hang around.
Sorry, Vol fans, that charge, was mostly karma for the refereeing in your First Four game...and, it probably should have been a no call.

I see you live in Nashville but are you an Iowa fan? Big 10 fan? I pull for the big 10 teams in the tourney most of the time, I was not upset that dayton beat osu.

I'm not a big fan of basketball, I actually have a genuine dislike for it, but for some reason I got pulled into this years MM, and have been watching (and I'll say there have been some excellent games). So I'll ask this and if I'm wrong I'm wrong, but is it just me or has the whole tourney been marred by horrid officiating?

The Arizona game the other night was such a slow game bc there were literally fouls every few seconds and it was just weak calls, then no calls.

And it seems like it's been the whole tourney not just any one team benefitting

Jay Bilas said that the officiating is better than ever this year, after mentioning that coaches like Boeheim and Fran should be banned from coaching basketball for their behavior......

This, after he said that SMU should have been in the NCAA Tournament rather than Iowa. I imagine the rabid Hawk fans had a feast day on his twitter account over that one, and he blew his cool....

Someone else on the panel said it was the worst it has ever been, a former coach and ESPN announcer.....

I thought the Michigan call was the right one. The Tenn. player lowered his shoulder and slammed into Jordan. The announcers, after discussion, agreed....

In the Michigan State game when it appeared that Appling shoved the defender out of the way close to the end of the game, it was the right no call, or a foul on the Virginia player who had his arms wrapped around Appling hampering him from moving. After the game they showed the scene close up and the announcers agreed that it was a good no call.....
