I personally can't stand Tebow, but I wouldn't bet against his eventual success.

Like him or hate him. Tebow is a winner. He couldn't have went to a better place to play qb. McDaniels will have him slingin it as soon as next year. Don't be surprised if he beats out Orton and Quinn!

Denver clearly wanted a determined athlete. That's what Tebow was in college. But that probably won't translate for him in the pros. This guy could've won 3 national titles and 2 heismans and Bryan Bulaga still gets picked before him. I wouldn't sweat it Hawkeyenation.

I disagree on several levels.
* tebow is a winner in the Urban Meyer system. Lotsa reasonably athletic kids could, did, and will succeed in that system. It really doesn't take much pure QB talent to do so. Kicker: NFL teams (so far) don't run Urban Myers' system.
* McDaniel is unproven as a QB/player development guy. He had some success as an OC @ New England, but the scheme was already in place and so were the players. Not hard to look sharp with T Brady working a gameplan that he knows by heart, with W Welker and others in support.
* I'd bet straight money that Orton will start in Denver this season. Quinn is a bust, just like almost every other neuter dumb QB in the modern era. Maybe tebow will compete in year two or three, but I see him converted to something else.
YMMV, of course; this is fun because it's all opinion.

I will paraphrase. But Ismael talked about what a waste of a pick it was. The other analyst was talking about his intangibles...like toughness and heart. How he would bring so much passion to the scout team. Ismael said..."What's he going to do? Lead the prayer for the team? How happy are these scout team receivers going to be with a QB passing to them with no mechanics and balls being thrown into the dirt."
He said you don't use a first round pick to lead your scout team. Basically said Tebow was a three year project at best and you don't use first round picks for that. Pretty much said it would be a failed experiment.

What if he ends up being a decent QB and good enough to start? You all who are bashing him will be the ones looking like idiots. I don't see how you all dislike him that much. Yeah hearing his name every damn 5 mins is annoying but Tebow in a way earned it, with his teammates help of course but who doesnt. I'm not saying he will do good or bad just like i won't say Bradford, Suh, or McCoy will have a good career in the NFL because none of them have played a down at that level yet. If I was him and seeing all these posts talking crap about him I would be laughing because look at what it is doing for him. $$$$$$$$$
