TE Production....

...where has it gone? We have VERY solid TE's so why are they not being thrown to 15 times a game minimum? Are they not getting open?

15 may be a bit much. I dunno, they are 12 yards down the field but the running back is at the line of scrimmage--so we check down? I don't think we threw to the wide-outs too frequently.

We seemed to use the TE early in games in order to suck in the DBs to open up the deep ball earlier this year. I dunno if the gameplan changed later in the year or what, but I don't really recall us ever utilizing the TEs as a major part of the offense in the 4th quarter whatsoever this year.

And not to nitpick, but neither of the "quotes" in your signature are correct. The Obama one was a joke about how long the primaries had gone on and how much he had traveled and the Pelosi one is just fabricated from whole cloth. She was saying that there was so much misinformation and downright falsehood about the healthcare bill that the only way to stop the freight train of lies was to pass the bill so that voters could see who was telling the truth and who wasn't.

I agree, she is misquoted, the actual quote from her own website:
“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it" N. Pelosi

Typically, when you start a sentence with "But," it's because there's a very important sentence right before that one which gives context to the rest of the statement. Care to quote her preceding sentence?

Her preceding sentence was, "It’s going to be very, very exciting."

BUT, don't get me wrong, I freaking love Nancy Pelosi. First, she throws a crazy party, as evidenced, here,
http://www.ihatethemedia.com/nancy-pelosi-jet-fueled-by-alcohol-and-lots-of-it
She may not even be the boozer, but she's good to her homies.
Second, she's all about giving people free stuff, like healthcare.
Third, she only wants to raise taxes on high incomes.
She'd fit right in with your typical 21 year old tailgater, what's not to like?

because Stanzi likes to throw the bomb down field into double coverage or drop it to the rb at the line of scrimmage.. sorry, still frustrated how Stanzi, a Sr QB, regressed the second half of the season...

ricky has to look their way for them to get catches, especially in the redzone. that part was lacking. I'm sure KOK is to blame somewhat for this :D

btw, 15 catches a game is a bit ridiculous unless you have a TE who runs a 4.3 forty, 62 inch vertical, weighs 285 with negative 2 percent bodyfat and can bench press over 2000 lbs.

Dude stop smoking the California reefer...Pelosi is a nut case and represents everything bad about the Democratic side of the isle. Thanks for the laugh though.

You really do support her ideas and principles?

You mean governing like a drunken tailgater without thinking about the long term repercussions of her actions?
No, I do not support that at all. I think she's even worse than W.

There was sarcasm in a previous post.

Back to the original point of the post ... Reisner had a very good year. Production was actually pretty good at TE.

Also, if I might add, aside from a few drops, Herman looked pretty good too. And, more importantly, our TEs had a pretty decent season away from the ball. While plenty of mistakes were made ... there was plenty of good blocking going on too.

W is the man! Have you read his book yet?

Oh boy, this thread is going to get moved over to off topic real quick. The problem I have with either party right now is that there are really few differences between them. You have the Democrats who are the tax and spend party and the Republicans who are the lower taxes and spend party. Nobody wants to have a serious look at gov't spending for fear of backlash over entitlement programs. I think the below quote makes a lot of sense:

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

Well hopefully Obama is gone before this country turns into a dictatorship. :)

You really believe he was joking here? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpGH02DtIws"]YouTube - Obama Claims He's Visited 57 States[/ame]

If he is, he has a lousy sense of humor. How gullible are you? He meant to say 47 states, which is why he went on to say he has one left to go not counting Alaska and Hawaii. Personally I couldn't care less about a politician making a speaking gaffe. Heck, if we were all under the microscope daily chances are we'd do or say something stupid once in a while, but please don't accuse somebody of not having a quote right when you are the one who doesn't have the facts right.

I think Herman and CJ provide a good combo, and ought to be on the field together some.
JV WILL be able to get them the ball 8-15 yds. downfield and they won't have to be running open for 10 yards before he notices.
