Now I'm not saying I'm not a CJF fan but I expected more from the monster his senior year especially against the first 3-4 opponents. That being said I am glad to see multiple other TE's making plays and showing a lot of promise. A lot of potential at the TE position for the next couple of years to come.

His number's not getting called on many routes that work for his skill set. You don't take a guy that size and have him just sit down 4 yards past the LOS. He's been very poorly utilized thus far.

I agree with wishing he had more chances, but he flat out dropped 2 of 3 in the ISU game that would have been first downs. It's unbelievable.

Give me more Hamilton, Duzey and HKC and less CJ Fed.

And Kittle.

I just watched the replay of 2002 IA-Mich and D Clark was so great, what a weapon.

At times we had CJ Jones, Mo Brown, Clark and HInkle in with one deep running back. WOW

as mentioned CJ had 2 drops vs ISU...but yeah lets hit the TE (any of them) up the middle a little more. Vs MO St TEs caught 6-7 balls so that was great to see.

I know, man. Nothing puzzles me more this year about GD and kf concerning why they don't target the TE's 15-20 yards down field in the seems. I just don't get it. And it's not cause they are not open, especially CJ.

^^^ this, CJF and the other TEs should be able to run a straight or little curl route down the hash and with practice Rudock can lay that pass into the window in front of or above the coverage.

Unfortunately I agree. I was so pumped when CJF jumped to us from the Zooker but he just never developed into the player we all thought he would be. Hamilton looks good however and I think he needs to see more playing time and more passes thrown his way. Sorry CJF.

You may know more than I do about this situation, but how do you know how good CJ is when he's barely targeted?

He's had drop problems both last year and the three games this season. If you can't consistently catch the ball your usefulness is fairly limited wouldn't you say?

I've been waiting for the CJ coming out party, but he has to catch the damn ball if he wants our QB to keep throwing it his way. That, along with the bone head holding penalty at the end of the Missouri St game has me wondering if he will ever become the stud TE we all thought he'd be. The good news is that we have a ton of other TE options, and I agree that we need to throw more balls to the TEs.

It's play calling as much as anything to me. How many routes has he run over 5 yards? Everything is a quick out or sit down route with him. I can only remember one route up the seam they've tried with him that was over thrown/good coverage on the play. Now he's dropped a couple balls and not looked good on all the chances that he has had so he has that going against him too. I think he's as talented a guy as you can have at TE. They just for whatever reason can't use him to his potential

Would you say that is a decision that the staff makes on all receivers? They went back to Schumpert after hre dropped balls. You keep going to the mismatch until he drops several in a row because the odds are he won't drop that many.

It's has been said that he has been struggling in blocking as well, but I agree I would like to see him targeted as a mismatch. If he's open, he would be getting more balls thrown to him. Honestly...its a bit of a mystery.

What's so special about CJFed? Does he block well? If it's size, put him at a position where he can use his size...

I agree. Heck, if it's blocking they are concerned with, take him during a run. Put him when you are gonna pass to him. Of course you have to mix that up a little cause then the D will go after him knowing what to expect. But come on..........................use the talent you got where they are the best.

Because he's terrible. I agree with the statement that we could get our TEs more involved, but not CJF.

News flash, folks: the Polish Hat is awful.

That seems to be the dilemma for the coaching staff: where is said talent for CFed?
