Once again I will state unequivocally that philadelphia and it's denizens sicken me.

I bet the next guy thinks twice before hopping the fence. The punk will probably sue the cops and the Phillies because they didn't print on the ticket that if you run on the field, you may get tazed.
 
Appropriate use of force. He was not injured and it brought the situation to an end. He was an idiot for running on the field and he will be an idiot when he files the lawsuit

Im with you, no doubt they will try to get something out of this. I dont see what the big deal is. He was down for 30 seconds and walked off the field under his own power.
 
I was reading the comments section on the FanHouse article about this. I was amazed at home many people thought the officer should be sued/fired/put in jail. In that situation, you have no idea what the kid is about to do or why he is on the field. I think using minimal taser force (the kid was on the ground for like 10 seconds; that taser was not at full strength) was completely appropriate. Funny thing is, the kid called his dad right before he ran on the field and his dad told him not to do it.

Steve even called from the park last night, asking for permission to run on the field, as the Phillies hosted the St. Louis Cardinals, the elder Consalvi said. "He said, 'Dad, can I run on the field? I said, 'I don't think you should, son.' "

"This would be a once in a lifetime experience!" the son said.

I think he will listen to his dad next time.
 
because of the quotes from his father and also multiple web sites commenting on the lawsuit....again i don't think they deserve to be sued
