Tanner Miller

He looks to be the next coming of Tyler Sash, same style, from the same area, above average speed. Came in and played pretty good for the circumstances. My question, has he played before this year on special teams or something? Just wondering cuz it would be a shame to burn his red shirt for one quarter even though it was a big game..just sayin.

I think Tanner played special teams in almost every game this year. He filled in well in limited duty last night...probably far too little to label him with any second coming tags, but a couple decent plays. The announcers had it right on that one tackle he made over the middle...if he doesn't make that play on #29 (Jerrious something), that guy was going to be running for a while.

The defense looks bright. If we can replace our front four, we look to have a stellar defense in years to come....I'm excited to see who steps up to be the standout on D.....I'm guessing Morris might be one of them.

Tanner looks a lot bigger than Greenwood. If he can study film like Greenwood he'll be a star.

Miller has played on special teams all year, with occasional appearances at safety.

The play that impressed me the most was his pass interference in the end zone. That was his first play on the field, coming in ICE cold off the bench due to an injury. First play, the veteran QB goes against the ice cold true freshman in a bowl game. The receiver has position between the ball and the defender to make the score.

Miller did the only thing he could do, and went through the receiver for the incomplete, and drew the flag. The aggression he displayed was a little surprising, and nice to see.
