Davis Undergoes Surgery
Freshman point guard expected to miss 5-6 months

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa freshman point guard Tania Davis underwent surgery on her non-shooting shoulder this morning. She is expected to miss 5-6 months.

Davis, who played in 30 games with 16 starts, led the Hawkeyes in assists (111) this season. She is the second freshman in program history to dish out more than 100 (Samantha Logic, 136). Davis averaged 8.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest, and was second in steals with 37.

It was easy to tell that it was bothering her. I hope that she has a speedy and full recovery. She definitely has a bright future.
