Tailgating in Lincoln

Curious to see what everyones plans are. We are going over Thursday night but dont know whether to take a grill and stuff or just hit a bar before the game. Dont know the area well so and info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We plan to go to the Hawkeye party at DJ's Dugout in Omaha on Thursday night and then hit the bars in Lincoln on Friday early. Looks like it isn't a hot tailgating place but rather there are a lot of bars close.

Tailgating blows in Lincoln, but there are lots of really fun bars within walking distance of the stadium. I was really shocked how few people actually tailgate in Lincoln, nothing like IC or Ames even.

Experiences in Lincoln have always been good. Their fanbase is surprisingly good natured (the ones who get into the stadium).
