Tackling

Thought I'd try to describe why we're playing so poorly instead of just ******** and moaning about it.

The tackling today has been atrocious. Our D's system is fine--the players are right there, in position, but they're trying to arm tackle. I mean really, Mike Daniels is the strongest guy on our D--and he lets that little running back stiffarm and run through him?

I was saying this weeks ago. Our tackling looked like it was improving in the Wisky and MSU games, but it has since reverted back to the way it was in the first half of the season.

I couldn't agree with you more. We are not breaking down tackling. Players are not getting thier heads in front of the ball carriers. We do not keep driving once we make contact. Could be a long second half.

I picked on him kind of hard after the Michigan game, too. I don't get it. He was a very sure tackler his first two years, then this year he's gone for big hits (and missed a lot).

exactly ... I don't understand the degeneration, but it is hard to watch

he's still an exciting play-maker, but he's become one of our worst tacklers
