What? First we make fun of a coaches fake southern accent, and then a coach without a leg, and now fat assed fans? What's next?

(hmmm the filter didn't pick that up) BTW I'll take one.

Nice design but I think its more of a copyright violation for Angry Birds than the Hawks which you can use.

lol yeah I think roxio or whatever the developers name is might sue over the shirt. Awesome idea though.

Details:
50 shirts have been ordered.

Price: $25/each

For this first order, shirts will be sold first come first serve at the Finkbine Commuter Parking Lot off of Hawkins Dr. at the Pittsburgh game on 9/17 from 7am-11am.

Please call Nick the morning of the game for exact details on location and sizes available. Nick's number is 319-eight99-three186.

I have ordered the following sizes:
S-10
M-15
L-15
XL-10

I know this is a small run, and shirts will go fast. I apologize in advance if those that were interested do not get a shirt from this first run. If sales are good, you can guarantee that another larger order will be placed, and geared more towards online sales, for those fans that have showed support for this t-shirt design here on HawkeyeNation.

Any shirts not sold during tailgating will be traveling back to Minnesota with Nick, and posted for sale in this thread. Additional charges will be added to shirts purchased through this forum to cover postage and paypal costs.

More details will be posted after the Pittsburgh game.

Thank you all for your comments, compliments, and support.

I sent the picture to the University of Iowa legal council and they told me it was too close to their logo and I shouldn't print them unless I wanted legal repercussions...so, good luck with that: purchase at your own risk.

I can't see how this shirt design is too close to Iowa's Tigerhawk or any other logo they use. If so, pretty much anything with a beak must be copyright infringement to U of I then? Roxio on the other hand.... :)

Fantastic shirt. Love it. The University of Iowa wouldn't pose a legal problem, I wouldn't think. Sure, they'd love to get a slice of the sales. But vendors sell Iowa stuff all the time without license. You're not using Iowa logos, it doesn't appear.

Angry Birds may be another matter. If you're going to continue to sell these, you might work out a deal with their copyright holder. As popular as the game and related merchandise has become, I don't think it would be viewed as so widely held in the public domain that it loses copyright or property rights protection, or that you have "fair use" rights to it. But I'm not a lawyer.

Google Shepard Fairey for a good discussion of the legal issues.

If this is a quick hit thing, good luck with it. ;)

As an aside, the Zunis appear to have adopted Angry Birds for their pottery.
