Sweet...we made someone's FCS upset special.

Were an unranked big 10 team that historically starts slow. They're a highly ranked in-state FCS team that's almost beat us before. It could happen, certainly if hawks play like fat cats. I don't believe it will, but it could. Nothing to see here. Next...

Slow starts: One of the top 5 KFz criticisms. And rightfully so.

Can't blame em for picking this upset. UNI was close in 2009 and you know it's come up in their camp. They'll be ready. The Hawks better be as well.

I was replying specifically to the multiple mentions of 2009. The 2009 UNI game has zero impact on this year's game.

Iowa could lose any game it plays. But mentioning 2009 is stupid. And, as I saw someone post the other day, you are one of the biggest ******* posters on this site. Good day.

Great closing nerd, if you don't care about what happened in 2009 and that's not relevant why do you copy how people talked in the 1800's?

Iowa is favored by more than 2 TD's....It would be a pretty big upset if Iowa doesn't win.

The reality of the situation is Iowa typically blows early in the season and nobody should be surprised if they're picked to lose against UNI.

You want to look at the reality of the situation? How many times has that happened in the history of Iowa football (hint: check all 116 years of the series)? I think it would at least be a little surprising.

I think Iowa plays extremely hard, pounds the running game, and wins by 3 touchdowns.

Ferentz is going to talk to his team about the 2009 game. I just don't think Iowa looks past UNI in any way this time. They didn't give UNI the respect they deserved in 2009, and it showed on the field.

I hope you're right. I'm curious... anybody know what the spread was in 2009?

It's not unreasonable. Iowa is typically way behind on opening week....playing mid-summer form. For all the excitement going into the season, I am always left feeling a bit sad by 4pm on opening day as I watch Iowa struggle mightly with even the weakest of foes. Don't forget that 2009 team nearly lost to UNI.
And a game in 2009 has what relationship to a game in 2014?

Almost every time someone makes a suggestion that Iowa could get upset, or someone mentions that Iowa really might not be very good or at the very least not up to the standards of the average Hawkeye fan, posters on this board show up with their blinders on and crooked panties and immediately assume that person needs fired from their jobs or they're "trolling". Then when someone tries to remind them that it's not always unicorns and rainbows with this team they have some smart *** illogical response like yours. Congratulations, ICHawk24, you're the typical delusional moron most people have come to associate with Iowa sports.

Your using 2009 as an example not best for your point. I know we could lose or the game could be close but someone could point to a season in which Iowa destroyed UNI and present that as an argument for why Iowa will win. By the way I don't have a problem with ICHAWK24. It's called fandom and I don't think you could find a message board different in the entire country.
