I think we can come up with a better name for this new position. After all, most names give an indication of where the players are lining up on the field.

Afterall, what is it really? The nickel back? The Safety/Linebacker hybrid?

How about NB or SLB for short?

I like SLB, it could be referred to as the Slab position, but official it would be called the Safety Line Backer

Another idea is just call him another Safety. You could have the Strong Safety, Free Safety, and the....

Uh, Roaming Safety? Hybryd Safety? Nickel Safety?

Anyway, I am sure if we put our heads together, we can come up with something better than the Cash position.

Suggestions are dumb as hell. Hooker gave us the teams actual name for the position and that is the best it gets. No more authentic than that. We don't need to change it. "Slab"?!?
