Just for the record, I didn't say that Mike Gatens had anything to do with choosing the coach. As far as the player infighting this past year, you're right, the buck starts and stops with the head guy (coach Lick). That Matt's name is connected to the situation probably speaks to just how central and important he is to the program. Having said that, I'm hoping that Coach McCaffery can help develop his talent to it's full potential. I'm believing that he needs to work on taking contact and finishing. If I never see Matt take it to the hoop only to double pump and then get the ball swatted away it will be to soon.
