So you are saying the Michigan State defender didn't give effort on that pass play? Really? And if a defended pass doesn't land on the back of a defender laying on the ground for an interception, maybe Iowa comes away with 6 points more or at least 3 points more. There are lots of ifs during any game. Iowa refuses to claim greatness. What a ridiculous statement. Obviously it was a winnable game. It was winnable for both teams.
no, I'm saying without that one burst that easily could have went the other way, Iowa would have been dormant on offense
and yes. 2002--could have played for national title but lose to ISU. 2009--sit on the ball late in the 4th against OSU w/ a chance to win. 2010--have a chance to beat Wisc and OSU and give up late drives to both. 2015--lose a highly winnable game to MSU by going to sleep on O. Rose Bowl losses of the past era, etc
