STOP Going to the games

If you are fed up with this staff and the direction of this program ( we WILL lose recruits--look at what's already happening on their social media), STOP attending the games. When Kinnick is empty, only then will this inept UI admin get the picture. When the football money stops flowing in, we might see some movement.

Yeah, right. The Iowa rube fans will never stop going. They'll pay that $50M easy with the next six 7-5 seasons.

There were a lot of empty seats today.

Problem is they sold a ton of tickets this season so Barta can say it was a success.

LOL Its a game. We got beat. We aren't having a good season. Hang out with your families. Read a book. Learn a new skill. Life will go on. Players play, coaches coach. Short of doing it for them, players have to step up and perform. They are not. The offensive line, those boys need to go a penitentiary and toughen up a bit. I think losing two good leaders in the o line and some leadership and plus lackluster play at the DT positions and ..boom. Ride it out and hope for 8 wins. Expect 7. Start complaining IF it gets to 6.

O line took it up the azz today so a visit to the pen may be unnecessary.

And then he would try to sign the asteroid to multi year contract.

If it gets him out of the two worst contracts in college football, he should. Plus, with the insurance money and federal disaster relief we get, we could hire Maine's head football coach again and build a new stadium.

THis is the problem with Iowa football fans. They expect a mediocre product. As long as you expect 7 wins, that's what you will strive to get. We as a fan base spend too much on this program to get this crappy of a product. This asshole makes almost $5mil a year to do things anyone of us on this board could do. His family has gotten rich and his kids go to school for free while hardworking folks that actually give a crap are left having to do it ourselves. I'm sick of his lack of passion...he embarrasses our state week in and week out and I'm tired of it.

For the millionth time, what was Barta thinking? Anybody could see that this could unravel so fast.

Expect 7 wins? Usually I'd be with ya...not this year. Nope. We are home for the Holidays. The anger is absolutely justified.

Well said. The whole post is spot on, especially the bolded part. I wish it wouldn't have taken me so long to learn this but it has been a long time since I've let Iowa games ruin a Saturday. It used to be a regular occurrence. The flip side is that I didn't enjoy last season as much as I should have ( I purposely schedule things on many fall Saturdays to keep me busy) but times like now don't bother me nearly as much as they used to.

Serious question: if all the players refused to play unless Kirk was fired and the U decided to fire Kirk, would they still have to pay the buyout?

This ^^ sounds precisely like what the OP is suggesting. Stay home. Hang out with your family. Read a book. Lots of options if you don't buy tickets or attend the rest of the games.

You write the above yet you are lurking on this fan site instead of taking your own advice.
