Good luck to Darius next season. I will be paying attention to where he ends up and how he does. Glad he has been a Hawkeye.

Stokes plans to leave Iowa and play basketball as a fifth-year graduate student for another school next year. He will be immediately eligible.

“I’m looking into a few schools,â€￾ Stokes said. “Probably in the next couple of weeks I’ll visit a few schools and talk to a few coaches. Coach (Fran) McCaffery and Coach (Kirk) Speraw have been very helpful in helping me find a place for next year. I’m excited.â€￾

Definitely wish he could have been a player more like his dad, but he's been a great guy to have on the team for the last four years, regardless. Not that I buy into some of the "bad teammate" theories being floated around, but Stokes has always had the best attitude for a teammate. Really hope he lands someplace where he can have some success on the court and apply what he's learned in Black and Gold.

So without a legacy on the team, who's dad will get all of the minutes on TV? Anybody know if Bart Casey's kid is graduating this year?

I thought Les Jepsen had a son that played basketball. Does anyone have additional info on this? If so that would be awesome to have another Jepsen on the team. Stokes was a cool guy to have on the team also. It was good to see the improvements he made in his career. He got some meaningful playing time this year and did well when other players got in foul trouble.

I will miss seeing Darius going nuts, or jumping to his feet, on the sideline after a big play. May not have been a big contributor but you could definitely tell that he loved being a Hawkeye and being a part of the team.

Going to miss is sideline celebrations. Always got a chuckle from his celebrations from the bench during a big shot. Will be missed. Best of luck to him.

Wasn't Ryan Luehrsmann in the 6th grade or something when he committed to Iowa? Or was that Kent McCausland?

I think Kingsbury has 3, but all girls.

As an added bonus, girls would have a much harder time relieving themselves into a potted plant (I'm certain it can be done, but physically it would be much more awkward/noticeable).
