2. Lick is getting his guys in place
3. We are a football school
4. We need better practice facilities
5. This year's class looks really good
6. We are a few calls away from winning alot more games
7. It is Alford's fault

1) You're not a fan.
2) You're just negative and can't see how much we've improved throughout the season.
3) The transfers have really set the program back.
4) It's not the teams fault the fans don't show up and give them a home court advantage.

See, the thing is, all but #s 2 and 6 have an element of truth to them. Not everything is black and white but shades of gray.
 
A few more:

This team is young.
What if Kirk Ferentz, Lute or Coach K hadn't been given more than 3 years?
What other good coach would actually want to coach Iowa?
Lick won NCOY at Butler!
It's not like we didn't know we were going to suck this year, so why complain?
 
we always play hard
we are improving slightly every game
we are turning the corner
the system will work with the right players
 
You guys have a problem with optimism? I'm not saying jobs should remain if under-achievement caries into next year, but the basketball program has had problems bigger than Lickliter. And getting new facilities is step in the right direction, I think Lick has one more year so why not try to be supportive about it.
 
What's the ***** about the 8:00 p.m. starts? It's 9:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone! The Ohio State-Illinois game last night did not end until after 11:00 p.m. Most people who went to the game probably didn't get home until close to midnight.
 
Don't forget to include;

1. Injuries
2. It is Iowa and it is a difficult State to recruit kids to come go to school.
3. Higher academic standards.
4. Inexperience/Young team.
5. Students sit too far away from the court.
6. Transfers
 
Tucker is gone so the chances of finding a starter passed out drunk in an alley has decreased.

I do wish him luck and hopefully he turns things around.

Let him leave we didn't need him anyway.
We can use his scholarship for someone better.
Can't recruit to Iowa.
