Stay Classy Hawkeyenation!!!

I just want to comment that through the process of Lickliter's firing, and then leading up the hiring of Coach Fran, the class at Hawkeyenation is on a completely different level than other sites that will remain nameless. Other forums seem to be bashing Coach Fran and Barta and making comments about how horrible the hire is. I really hadn't visited any of those sites until the last few weeks and now that this is over, I am sticking with hawkeyenation.

Jon and Justin, this is definitely a reflection of the leadership on this board!!! Keep up the good work fellas!

As one of the charter members of the coalition for logic and reason I thank you for your kind words
 
The idiots seem to come out of the woodwork during times like this...I tried not posting immediately after the hiring. I read up on Fran and really liked what I saw.

I posted trying to throw water on the meltdown that was occurring. The overreaction was ridiculous....im glad it only last about 10 hours. The honeymoon period is much more fun than the meltdown
 
That is pretty much the reason that I have stopped frequenting the "other sites" with all of their shenanigans that go on. I get carried away from time to time, but I try to save that for the controversial board.

There is a much larger percentage of people on board with this hire on this board than the others. There are a few on here that have voiced their opinions... but for the most part on here I think people are happy with this hire.

On the other hand... The people who emailed Barta are now celebrities since he brought up their assistance during the press conference.
 
Now that we have a coach hired and all, I still hope that TL rebounds and makes things happens where ever we go. I also think that we need to not be so critical of his 3 years. He just didn't work out. He is a classy guy who needs a breather then go back at it. I have been reading how with the interpretation that he really screwed up and Fran the Man with the master plan NEEDS to bail the Hawkeyenation out. Lick didn't do it on his own and we all know that.
Once again, you loose some and you win some. Hopefully FM can bring the noise!
