A quick look at some of the stats...
Kriener is getting minutes and rightly so. 60% FG and only 1 TO per 15 minutes. (Many of the shots the difficult mid range)
Cook's numbers tell the story. 50% from the field, many dunks. He also has triple the amount of TOs than individually ASSTS, BLKS, STEALS
Pemsl is similar to Kriener although the majority of his made FGs are from point blank range. (a good thing...albeit limited in the mid range shots so far) 63% FG, 1 TO per 12 minutes.
Williams, touted as the player who will lead the team in pre season at the point with his quickness and defensive ability has...ZERO blocks this year, and averages less than one steal per game, while shooting close to 30%.
Baer's numbers for FG % are down from last year, partly because he is taking more three pointers, it seems. But, preaching to the choir here...his other stats tell us why he is so much fun to watch and so valuable to the team:
1 TO for every 29 minutes of play!
He has a higher percentage in each individual category of assists, steals and blocks...than he has of turnovers...this, while leading the team in rebounding, hustle, and thinking.
I doubt there are many NCAA players who can match the above stat...more assists, steals, blocks than turnovers per game average.
On a side note...this team is absolutely terrible at the FT line...take Jok and JB out...hideous. Not many successful teams are filled with a roster that shoots 50% from the line.
Note...this is a quick glance at stats...please correct if numbers are glaringly wrong...
