Following is a statement from Iowa Football Coach Kirk Ferentz in regard to legal matters involving senior WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos:

“I am highly disappointed to learn of the charges. Derrell has been suspended from all team activities.â€￾
 
Post announcement under the breath comment... "I win, Beo...."

I know it might be too soon, but KF has taken a massive amount of heat and is now fully, and I mean FULLY vindicated.

Seriously guys, we should not forget the mantra, "The Captain Knows best, The Captain Knows best, The Captain Knows..."

BTW: Anybody have any ideas about who DJK's roomate is?

This is DJK first brush with legal issues since being at Iowa. I will wait to pass judgement.

I guess I will wait to see if it was him really involved or just his roomate...you know wait for evidence to come out

Yes, but I will not taint his reputation. I lived next door to them and they still live in the same place.
 
Taint his reputation? Seriously? He is apparently sitting with his roommate in the Johnson County jail with some pretty serious charges coming...doubt if sharing his name on a message board will do much to further tarnish his rep.:confused:
 
I wish I could re-post the countless morons who have been ripping Kirk for "picking on" DJK. Happy to say I was not one of them. I trust Kirk, I'm not one who believes he would sit one of the most talented receivers we've had because he doesn't like him. The ignorant posts were incredible, half of you reading this probably make comments. We just don't know what DJK has been doing, and we don't need to know. In Kirk I trust. If you don't, then go to the Clones.

I haven't read all the releases on it just yet, I'm sure it will be leaked soon I just do not want to be the guy. I lived next to them from May '08 - Mar '09. He was in one half of the duplex, I was in the other half.

Not a mirror image. But dissappointing season, ending with lower tier bowl against a top 15 opponent from the Big 12. Star WR gets himself in trouble (Douglass was in the offseason, but still). I certainly hope this isn't the beginning of another cycle like the one in 2007.
 
Not quite the case Pred....he is done though either way.


Very disappointing.....this was a rumor i hoped was wrong.

Obviously they were performance enhancing drugs, cause he's still the leader in the house with the all-time Hawkeye receiving records. Imagine the potential of the catch's and yards he may have made... (funny comment ryno-lol)
