Penn State Makes A Banana-Flavored Jerry Sandusky Ice Cream | The Big Lead

You might not know this, but Penn State is pretty well-known for their ice cream. Yes, the Penn State Creamery makes around 100 different flavors and some of them are named after famous Penn State figures. One of those delicious ice cream flavors is named after former defensive coordinator and current Jerry Sandusky. Yes, that would be the same Jerry Sandusky facing felony charges of sexual abuse against minors. Sandusky Blitz – “a banana flavored ice cream with chocolate covered peanuts and caramel swirl.â€￾ Screen cap below. You know, just in case the flavor is discontinued.​

That is certainly a little more understandable. The ingredients of this ice cream are almost as sickly ironic as the name of his book though. You think they let him pick the ingredients? Sick coincidence? I am sure he named the book. What a sick subhuman...

Confession: I visited that creamery when I was in State College for the Iowa-PSU game in 2009. I had a scoop of "Peachy Paterno" on a waffle cone.
It was damn fine ice cream...but if I could hork it back up out of my intestines somehow, two years later, I'd do it.
