Still think it is going to be a very close 3 team race between IA City West, Bettendorf, and Waverly SR. Bettendorf has some very tough match up's in this morning's Qtrs. The match between Koethe and Chase at 160 lbs could be fun!
Tanner Werner getting beat in the 1st round didn't help Waverly SR chances and Mickey Pelfrey getting beat twice and scoring no points was a blow to IA City West.
Think of how bad it would have been if Schlosser wasn't an idiot?

What I have read was a combination of academics, disregard for team rules, and expulsion. He really screwed this up, and I would be surprised if Jackson still brings him in to ISU.
Still very close team race in 3A between Waverly, IA West, and Bettendorf.
Big match between Jordan Rinken and Elijah Sullivan in tonights semis.
DeVoss has to wrestle Cory Clark in 119 semi match.
Bettendorf will have have to wrestle tough in consolations to remain in the race.

Well I guess I saw those ones. The only thing is that even I thought I was joking when I typed that about Koethe. Just in the wrong room. Caldwell > Rieland
Great prediction on Koethe!! I would have never guessed that he would put himself in that situation for a 2nd straight year. Hopefully the match will be posted on you tube. Sounds like Koethe hit a deep double leg and came down hard on his opponent.
Koethe was DQ'd for slamming his opponent. Talked to a few people that said it was questionable. (hopefully video will be available)
Also, I was very impressed with how tough Eric DeVoss wrestled Cory Clark.
3A team race is still really tight especially with the performance Bettendorf had in the Consolation round.
Keothe did that last year at State, also, right? Wow. What a way to lose in the semis!!
The Clark/Devos match was a close one.

Yes, I believe Koethe was DQ'd for slamming Trizzino last year.
It would be pretty wild if the 3A race came down to the Hwt match between
Bettendorf and Waverly SR.

Koethe is a heck of a wrestler and as much as I may dog ICW he really has been screwed in my opinion.
Devos wrestled Clark way better than I thought he would. I wish that was on Saturday night. If it does come down to Hvy tomorrow I think WSR is pretty confident.

Yeah, Waverly would have to be pretty confident if it comes down to that. WSR just has to stay within striking distance this morning. I have WSR with 3 champs now, ICW with 2, and Bett with 0.

I really follow the MVC schools (Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Dub, CR, IC). I can't believe how bad we've gotten. ICW is in 3rd place. After that we don't have a single school in the top 10!

Prarie and Linn-Mar both have some very good young talent! I really think that they are going to be near the top in a year or two.
