Stanzi to Chiefs

can't argue. hopefully they turn the tide. have not finished last in division in many many years. when's the last time Denver had a top 15 pick in first round that wasn't from trade? can't say the same for rest of the AFC West.

That's very important.

Well, it is a generalization at best, saying that the Broncos have pretty consistently been out of the cellar position that they now dwell in. Being at the bottom is a joke, and especially if you're the Broncos, mainly because they just aren't use to it.

I loved this from the Q&A--

Q: You have a tattoo that says ‘Made in the USA 1987’?

STANZI: “Yes I do.”

Q: Obviously the year you were born I assume? Is there any other meaning?

STANZI: “Really, it’s just a patriotic thing. I’m very proud to be an American and that was really the main thing behind the tattoo, being proud of where you’re from, and it just kind of came to my mind and I just decided to go with it.”

After reading that, I wonder if he wants to work hard?

LOL. Yeah, that's funny. It almost reads like they screwed up and pasted the same text for each of Stanzi's answers.

Also thought it was funny that he said that he really liked Joe Namath. What does Stanzi know about Joe Namath?

Looks like Ricky has been trained to answer questions pretty much politically correct. I liked it. Seemed like maybe the interviewer was probing him in a unwanted manor. Stanzi kept to his line of work ethic. I'm sure he's got to be excited to be with the Chiefs. I think that could develop nicely for him.

That's what you get when you kick Shanahan to the curb. Dumbest thing they could have done. Hiring Elway as the GM is the second dumbest.

Bohawk is claiming that he is the one who planted the seed in coach Haley's head about taking Stanzi.

Good situation for Stanzi. He goes somewhere he doesn't have to play right away but the starter isn't that good so the position isn't locked up for years. Give Stanzi a year to learn the system and get used to the pro level and then he'll compete with Cassel

Croyle is the worst quarterback in the NFL bar none. I don't think he could start for a lot of college teams

You must not follow the Chiefs. Their starter is only 28 who in his 3rd year as a starter threw for 3k yards 27tds and 7ints. Barring injury or major regression Cassel has the starting gig for the next 5-8 years.

Stanzi has a better chance of being developed on the bench and becoming the starter elsewhere after being traded than he does unseating Cassel at after his first contract ends.
