Stanzi the Manzi? not quite.

In all three of our losses this year we have had time for a game winning drive. We have had time to win, and the ball has been in "manzi's" hands. Each time he has failed. Sure we can blame it on KOK and his playcalling, but Stanzi is still making the throws and he is still taking the sacks. He has yet to lead us on a game winning drive with under two minutes left this season. He looks scared out there. He looks nervous. Terrified of throwing a pick. Stanzi has been FAR from the Manzi this year when we need him the most.

I would say horrible clock management by the staff has more to do with these failures. We could have had 3 timeouts going in to the final drive but end up with 1.

Coaches don't know when to clock the ball either. They get paid to put the team in better positions to win at the end of games.

My friend, if you'll just read every other post from the last 2 years on these boards you will see that whenever the offense does well it is because of Stanzi, when we do poorly, it is because of KOK, ignore the actual on the field action--your eyes deceive you--listen to all the expert posters. Stanzi is amazing with a long career as an NFL pro-bowler ahead of him and KOK is barely potty trained. Stop bring up facts and stats, we don't care about them.

I think part of Ricky's problem is the same thing that has helped him be so successful this year........he has learned the check down. Now, it seems he is in that mode all the time, when for the past two years, he's been a gunslinger trying to make the plays down the stretch. So what has been good for him, has hurt his mentality late in the game in my opinion. He's a different QB this year yes, a better one. But he doesn't have the late game moxie he's had for the last two years.
The entire offense has looked lost in these situations in all three losses. And that is a tribute to how they are coached. This staff looks lost and tentative late in the game, and so do the players.
