He had another great statistical day on Saturday. If you ever told me last year that Stanzi would have a 25-of-37 day for 250+ yards, 3TDs and 0INTs (!), I wouldn't have 1) believed that he could do that and 2) believed we would have lost that game.
However, while he is making better decisions and not throwing the pick, I think he's also thinking too much. And that's led to other, questionable game decisions when leading the offense. Against Michigan, there were a few times where we might have benefited from Stanzi changing up the play/adjusting for pressure, but instead he stuck with the game plan and let ARob get swallowed up in the backfield.
And on Saturday, instead of leading us down the field ala MSU last season, he seemed just...off. In fact, counting the Arizona game, he's looked a bit less unflappable than he did last year, IMO.
