and the bears almost won the super bowl that year in spite of rex grossman. dude had like 4 games that year with a sub 10 QB rating.

Very decent performance.
Certainly didn't hurt himself tonight, at the end of the game they were winding down the clock so his stats don't jump off the page, but he had one perfect pass dropped and another potential touchdown pass where the guy got pushed out of bounds but caught the ball.

As a Chiefs fan, I hope Stanzi goes nuts, but I'm skeptical. The Chiefs need to get some QBs. They have a second-stringer playing first string, a third-stringer playing second string, and Ricky Stanzi. What a mess.

You are spot on with the qb play, and because of that (and as a Bronco fan), I think the Raiders are the team to be more concerned about than KC in afc west this year. But I would love to see Stanzi be good enough to get his shot in more meaningful minutes.

First off- There was a good Rex and a (really) bad Rex. He was offensive player of the month in one month, and he's the only QB to post a 0 QB rating.
Stanzi would be a poor man's...Orton maybe-cerebral, game manager type. Not bad, not good, just doesn't screw you over.
I didn't see the game, so I don't know how he looks. There are backups that you've never heard of before that have been in the NFL for years, he'll be fine.
