Interim coach Romeo Crennel isn't ruling out starting Ricky Stanzi at quarterback against the Packers in Week 15.
It's quite possible that Todd Haley's insistence on sticking with an overmatched Tyler Palko contributed to his dismissal. Although Stanzi was believed to be "not ready," the Texans' success with their own fifth-round rookie may give the Chiefs a good reason to give Stanzi an audition. Kyle Orton (finger) could be an alternative, though his status for this week is still unknown. Dec 13 - 2:56 PM

Anyone with an "in" with KC's football team has said that stanzi hasn't played because he is too inept. I mean, they brought in Orton and threw him in there with about a week in a Cheifs uniform under his belt. That's a pretty good indicator of how the organization feels about stanzi's chances of being successful.
If he plays I think he'll make Palko look like Dan Marino out there.

I would admit I was wrong about stanza, go buy a stanza jersey and wear it everyday of my life.

I like Stanzi and hope he does well in the NFL. However, I don't think his first game should be coming out to play the GB packer defense. He might as well jump off a building now. He's going to get killed.
Maybe meandrunk can photoshop Ricky's broken body in this.

Looks like the buffalo QB in the background on all fours. That could be Ricky.
I'm a Chiefs fan, but I don't see Ricky having a great 1st start. I hope all other Chiefs fans realize that.
It won't make much difference which QB, of all QBs at the Chiefs disposal, is in. I just hope if Stanzi gets in, he hits a couple of TDs and maybe finds a little running room from time to time. Something half-way decent for a 1st showing.
But MN is probably right. He'll probably get hammered due to KCs offensive line.
