Stanzi looking ????

I love me some Stanzi but he did not look all that good tonight at the Rams.

First drive: Pick was not his fault

Second drive: Penalties (not on Stanzi) made it impossible to get a first

Third drive: Sack and fumble. I will say as soon as the ball was snapped there was a LB right on him so......

Fourth drive: Doing ok and then a sack on a double pump...if he throws it they have a first

I just hope BQ sucks goat a** too with the scrub squad they have in.

It was ugly. Lotta ugly all around for the Chiefs tonight, but Stanzi was way too indecisive tonight.

That is very debatable. The defender was right on top of the receiver and the ball was thrown high with very little zip allowing the defensive player to close quickly and cause the tipped ball.

Stanzi is going to have to get a lot better. When he was in college he had one of the best o-lines in the nation. Now he has crap so his weaknesses are going to shine.

Stanzi looked bad, his fault or not, depending on the play. That said, don't get too excited about your Rams.

My Rams have Jeff Fisher coaching them. That alone is cause for optimism.

As for Stanzi, two words:

Third String.

If, that is, he isn't cut altogether.

yeah, but Scott Pissoli loves him...and is grooming him for greatness. Another night like last night and they will be grooming him for carrying a beer tray up and down the stadium aisles.

Listened to sports talk radio on the way in to work and on the road over lunch here in KC. Stanzi is getting BLASTED by the local media. Things couldn't have gone much worse for Ricky on Saturday.

I think it's time for a haircut...Maybe that will help.

The only fans blasting him are only the ones who wanted him to beat out Cassel which wasn't going to happen, especially in his first camp as a pro. Stanzi made a few good plays but looked like a rookie in others. One of the problems as Crennel pointed out that he hardly got any protection on some of the pass plays, guys were on him right away.

I think he will continue to get better. The coaches have said he has really made strides this year and it has shown in practice. He was never a guy that was going to be brought in to play right away. He is a project.

Best case scenario for Rick: he has a Sage Rosenfels type career, hangs around the league for about a decade as a quality backup.
