Stanley, Fant '19 NFL 1st Rounders Per McShay

I like McShay. At first I thought ESPN brought him on to push Kiper out, obviously that's not the case. I think sideline reporters are overrated, but having one of your draft gurus on the sideline works. I value Mcshay's opinion when it comes to the draft. If he thinks Stanley has 1st rd. potential, then it means a lot because he has put the homework in.

The ESPN guru's don't talk about guys that aren't top talent as first round draft picks. I know, you know, and even Colin Cowheard knows. Stanley is legit. Where he ends up in a draft is anyone's guess, but I believe it will be the first night.

Nah, Rod, I ain't that old. Anywho, I hate this ESPN crap of trying to fill the news cycle with nonsense like that. Guys like you actually go out and find stories, but these morons at ESPN sit on the Davenport all day trying to make up news stories. I don't give two shits what some moron thinks of some kid's draft stock, but these kids then start to get all kinds of ideas in their heads, we drop a game against NIU early on and the kid thinks he needs to go into knee saving mode bince ESPN thinks he's a first round talent.

Totally agree on how ESPN tries to make sports news rather than report on sports. ESPN went to shit at least 10 years ago when all they want to do is get into draft drama for NFL, MLB, NBA etc trying to invent news rather that report and show live sports and highlights.

Davenport is an old word I haven't heard in a long time.

Reading on Hawk Central? Fant saying he didn't realize last year he wasn't getting more playing time because of his poor blocking? Wouldn't coaches tell him that?

Even if he has a good year, I have a hard time seeing Stanley declare. He just strikes me as the type of personality that will want to finish out his college career. He's about as grounded as it gets, especially for a QB.

Fant is a goner unless he misses a large portion of the season to injury.

Wondering why with two first ground projections on offense, and others on offense and defense that will likely be in the NFL. Why are we not receiving more predictions to win the West?

Wisconsin-
OL
RB
LB

Iowa-
QB
TE
DL

Seems like if given a choice I would pick the better QB and D line every year.

like it or not, we are always managed to be too conservative and you rarely accidentally win a championship and you need to be aggressive and take what you want.

Wisconsin's QB may not be as highly projected as Stanley, but he is also very highly thought of as a college QB.

And their OL is not only a strength, they return their entire starting unit, and pretty much all of them are projected as NFL players. Likewise, their RB may be the best in the nation. They also have a lot of receiving talent returning.

I am bullish on the Hawks this year, and I think they can take Wisconsin at Kinnick (especially if it is a night game). But on paper, I think Wisconsin still leads the pack by a pretty good margin.

That O line though bro. That and the last 10 years of relative dominance.

I like the love he is giving the Hawks but someone must have slipped him a black and gold roofie because Stanley is not a first rounder after this year.

I certainly can't say definitively that he is, but it is certainly not out of the realm of possibility. There are almost always at least 2 QB's taken in the first round. Who would you project those QB's would be. It is late so I am not looking it up, but I am struggling to come up with even 1 name of a 1st round lock QB.

If fant doesnt leave after this season it likely means either he got hurt or he had a terrible season. Either way it's bad for Iowas 2018 season. So IMO I hope he leaves after this year.

The stanley thing I dont understand. 23rd overall NFL prospect? In what world? Maybe he ends up there after the season but right now? No
