Stanley after 4 games

C'mon, let's be real. By halfway 2nd qtr it had been obvious for a quarter that it wasn't happenin!
Yeah pretty much. But no coach in a close game is bailing on a game plan quite that fast. If we were down 2 TDs or so that would have affected his playcalling one would think. But the closeness of the game is why he felt empowered to keep banging his head (his being Wadleys) against the wall pretty much all game long.

I've said before, but I'll piggyback on that. 99% of Iowa fans knew PSU was going to sellout on the run. It's going to happen again next week, as well.
No doubt. Till you burn them on it and then do it again and maybe even again will a team take you seriously. Jon Millers said over and over it's what he'd do against us I don't think it's rocket science either. Maybe with a more experienced QB he'd be trusted to check out of a bad run play to a pass...

Well, I don't use the term "gameplan" with this staff. That implies that the plan changes for each game, and I don't think there's much evidence of that. Attacking weaknesses, exploiting mismatches, etc,- who needs it?

And I definitely wouldn't assume any knowledge/understanding of KF's views on the importance of scoring/getting a lead/moving the ball..

As far as "bailing on a game plan", though, maybe just lean a little more on the part of the "plan" that doesn't include handoffs or swing passes to AW? At least until you have enough success elsewhere that they stop keying on him.

Guys, watch the replays John posted. Notice from the time Stanley decides where he's going to the time the ball comes out. Wow. No wasted motion and it's a frozen rope and it's out quick. That's NFL quick boys. Remember, 4 games in...is he 20 yet? Holy crap this kid is going to be really good when he figures it all out. Calm, cool, collected and loads of talent.

I've been catching up on my summer reading that consists of nothing but college football preview magazines in physical form. Later I will watch each game in sequential order from a vhs tape backup i keep in my basement, but thats beside the point. It has come to my attention that Tanner Lee was the most impressive quarterback at the Manning Passing Camp this summer. When you take a kid with his physical skills at pocket passing and match it with the offensive genius of Mike Riley, the result is going to be nothing but offensive fireworks.

Nah, it'll eventually open up.
