Stadium amenities

I want a porter in the restroom wishing me a good day and offering a shot of cologne or swig of mouthwash. I want Michelin rated chefs producing locally sourced, seasonal, non-GMO, organic delicacies for a low price. I want 1TB/second download rates on a dedicated Wi-Fi network so I can livestream the game and my reactions to big plays on my Insta to show off to my friends. I want seat warmers installed in all seats.

I'd settle for just plain wider seats.

Went to a Cardinals baseball game last Friday at Busch Stadium. Had been before but had been a number of years. But in terms of trying to continually draw people in today's world, that stadium and surrounding area to me are a perfect set up. Even parking and traffic are not terrible. If I were advising Barta or anyone else in CFB I would advise to take a look at what they have done there. I realize a MLB is worth a lot more than a college football team and has greater resources, but still some could definitely be incorporated.

When we were inside the stadium I told my wife that Kinnick holds about 24,000 more people than Busch. She couldn't believe it because it still looks so big. I said in Kinnick everything is just packed in and vertical and you don't get your own personal seat.

Grew up a huge cardinal fan and went to many games growing up, parking at Busch stadium is always amazing to me how people get in and out. It’s smack in the middle of downtown and you can usually be out of the stadium, in your car and on the road in 30 min. That was with a crowd of 40k which was the cardinals regular attendance in the 90’s and 2000’s.

There were not many empty seats last Friday evening when they played the Astros. And we had no trouble getting out and back to the place we were staying. I was expecting it to take 45 minutes longer than it did. And not many left early as it was a close game. We parked in one of the ramps fairly close.
