St. John vs. Welch Video





Welch is a freak. He's so talented. that's a very good win for St. John. Hope he can do it again next year in folkstyle.
 


Also, could we please get the video voice over guy to be color commentator for Div 1 finals next year? He was cracking me up.
 




St. John is going to be next years' "Steel" he is going to make a run at a National Title next year. This is one special young man!!!!
 




I know many on here probably won't agree with me but i think many are going a little overboard on the success that St. John will have next year. I've seen a lot of people talking on several occasions where he will be a high all american and/or contend for a national title. I guess i just dont' see it. I think he'll be in the mix for AA but i don't think he's near a top 3 guy yet. i could be wrong and REALLY hope i am. But don't forget, he's going to be up a weight to start which will be an adjustment. And this year he was beaten by Ballweg and Sorenson and the only really top guy he wrestled was Fittery who killed him. Don't get me wrong, i hope he's awesome, but i do think we need to have realisitic expectations for a Freshman.
 


All freshman are going to take a few lumps. McD did as a true freshman. So the losses to Ballweg and Sorenson weren't a surprise. Getting pounded by Fittery is dissapointing. Hopefully he grew from those losses and that year. No one can expect him to do what McD did, but I do expect him to be in contention for AA status.
