Would he have found time behind Dekker, Berggren, and Bruesewitz this year? Probably not much.

So instead of seeing limited playing time he decided to burn a year of eligibility all together? Makes sense. Uthoff would either be starting for them or be the first guy off the bench this year.

I've got to agree with this. Uthoff would be starting at Wisky this year. I think he truly wanted to be a Hawk but wasn't sure about Fran and the coaching change. Once he saw how things were, he made the commitment to come to Iowa.

this makes the most sense, unless he had a falling out of sorts with the staff up there. who knows? glad to have him though!
