Hot seat? No. There would be some disappointed fans of course. If no NCAA this year and the the year after that, then yes he seat would begin to heat up IMHO, but hey that's not going to happen. We will finish even stronger than expected and Fran will be the Big Ten Coach of the Year and be considered for National Coach of the Year. :)

I am interested to see how fans here would react. So far, Fran has been worshiped, not unlike Kirk between 2001 and 2005. I was not in Iowa then, so as a sociological observation, I think it would be interesting to see, first hand, what it looks like when the fans devour a coach they once revered.

If you weren't in Iowa for 2001 to 2005 how do you know the worshipping of Ferentz and Fran is in any way similar?

Plus if you're really curious to see that scenario play out, just follow CF during ISU's journey to 2-10 this year and you can watch it play out in real time.

The fan base turning on Fran because they missed the tournament this year would be dumb (unless, maybe they have Lickliter type season but the team has too much talent for that). It would be disappointing and we have some stupid fans, but it still wouldn't make much sense.

Ill be p!ssed, dissapointed, frustrated, hate Lick even more but like you said unless we score 42 ppg and finish 10-22 I will not be calling for Fran's head
