speed back PLEASE!

Where was the speed back today? Who is it? Coker is just too slow to the hole to play every down. He is an ok back, but we desperately need some speed at running back. We had an entire week to find someone, but whoever that may be did not play?
 


I know, I kept waiting to see a change of pace running game, but it never happened. We have some guys with speed. Must not of been in the game plan, which we know Kirk never changes.
 




Exactly...we need a change of pace. Even if it is just for a couple plays in the drive or a series.
 


Coker missed a lot of running lanes today. he would run to the right and slow down so much before his cut back. hew needs to hit the hole and hit it hard. he hesitated way to much
 




we looked slow & tired all over. DL jogging after the qb if the play was opposite field.. didn't see that from any Cyclones. That out worked & outplayed us.
 


I said as much last week, and now I'll say "I told you so!". It was intimated that Canzeri might see the field this week. Why not?

Oh yeah, we need to save his redshirt. That's more important than winning.
 


we already have johnson who has speed. Maybe canzeri is an option. They MUST find someone! Coker is not good enough to be the only running back. Period! Also, no other D-1 program would expect him to be anyway.

Then why the hell didn't we play him?! Unbelievable. How do you explain to DeAndre Johnson why he sat on the bench all day?

Announcers love to say that "Iowa doesn't beat themselves". I disagree.

Many of our loses are exactly that. It's just not the obvious stuff like turnovers... it's the "playing not to lose" approach, lack of aggresiveness and more subtle, but very questionable decisions by the coaching staff like running Coker all day when we clearly needed something to change it up.
