Anyone who has the ESPN video of this game... watch after Sean Considine's 3rd quarter INT and you'll see me in my lucky #44 jersey celebrating.
The best thing about this game was how unexpected it was. Nobody was playing out a scenario where Iowa was going to win the co-championship. It was about Wisconsin and Michigan that year. Ohio State was down so no one really expected Michigan to lose to them. That game wrapped up right before this one started and it was only on my walk to the stadium that I realized this wasn't just about spoiling Wisconsin's Rose Bowl dreams, it was about sharing the conference championship with Michigan. Boy did the Hawks ever step up for this one.
What an awesome season. Almost as exciting as 2002 or 2009.
