Sparty looks tough, Mich not so much

Great play design by sparty for their 2nd td where with 3 running backs in the backfield the fullback on the right motions to the left and they fake to the tailback who was on the right moving left, then they sneak the deep back out to the right for a counter play type screen pass. Twenty yard td that was so wide open the linemen couldnt find anyone to block.

College football is crazy but sparty looking crisp on both sides of the ball and Mich has some offensive problems running the ball.

That play was sweet. Michigan is way overrated as usual. Backup QB doesn't help though.

I don't see any team in college football that's on the same level as Alabama and Clemson. Everyone else is just fighting for table scraps

It happens week by week.
Football is not a static sport.

Except for Bama and Clemson.

Stanley > O'Korn

MSU last 3 games boils down to one word:

Turnovers

Michigan doesn't have a QB. Speight and O'korn are both bad. All Sparty had to do was exactly what they did to us. Stuff the run. Game over.

Now that MSU wins, in true Iowa fandom, we got peeps saying it’s because of Michigan being horrible. MSU just beat a top 10 team in the Big House.

I watched some of the MSU Mich game and MSU definitely outplayed MICH. MSU moved the ball better with more balance. MICH seemed to have trouble running the ball and yes they were playing their backup qb but he is experienced.

The hawks are inconsistent and at 4-2 they are about where many of us had them. I thought if MSU was like last years MSU we could beat them and in a way the hawks really had a chance to win last week at Sparty,

So the hawks have a really good win at ISU and say it two good losses against PSU and MICH St.

But there are uneven wins against Wyoming, N Texas, and Illinois and much of this is due to weak first half performances.

Still not that impressed with sparty........Imo, PSU is the best team in the conference.

I really don’t have a problem with a bama/Clemson triliogy

If a win over a top 10 team in the Big House doesn’t impress ya, nothing’s going to. Nothing in football at least. That’s as good of win as any in all of college football thus far.

History tells us if Harbaugh doesn't win this year (Conf or NC) he never will.

Michigan has to accept they aren't an elite program and never will be again.

The loss to MSU does not look so bad this morning. There is only one loss between PSU and MSU, that being a loss to Notre Dame where Sparty turned the ball over. As others have pointed out the first half of games have been an adventure through offensive futility. Iowa has two weeks to correct things before the Northwestern game. Based on what I've seen they need to figure out the short and quick passing game using the running backs as receivers.

Very well said and you are right as Wadley was wide open many many times yesterday but Nate was locked downfield. I think Nate will learn from the tape and the running backs can be his best friends in the passing game.

In early games he was hitting Wadley and Butler.

Michigan was ranked 7th because of the media's love for them and nothing else. The are an average team with a name nothing more. It's proven every year when they blow games they shouldn't lose.

The MSU loss doesn’t quite feel as bad. Michigan has a lot of problems on offense. I’d rather have Iowa go to Ann Arbor this year than Madison.
