Dude.... It totally is starting to feel like that haha. Only that wasn't about $ that was more about respect & timing. Iowa had Stoops in their pocket he thought he had the Iowa job but then Iowa told him to wait till after they could interview KF... He didn't like that and went to Oklahoma instead and the rest is history. Had he waited I think Iowa hires Stoops instead...

If $ is literally all that matters to him and he's leaving WVU for Indiana then that just is what it is. He deserves to go get fired from there in 3-6 yrs when he isn't getting it done like so many other Indiana coaches since Knight was there.

I woulda thought a coach that could both go home and have job security (Fran just showed you can be mediocre and get 15 yrs) and the $ being fair would be a no brainer. I think we'd pay more then what WVU was. We just can't/won't match whatever wild Indiana deal they must be throwing out there.

I highly doubt McCollum is interested in the WV job if he has an Iowa offer in hand. From my understanding, he wants to remain close to his aging mother, and if it was all about the highest bidder, he would've left NWMS long ago.

Truly an insane take. Iowa is a big step up from Drake, and he clearly doesn't need an enormous NIL fund to build a competitive team. Dude is dancing Thursday with a D2 squad while our players are on their couches.

They fired a 19-13 coach that didn't make the tourny for a 19-13 coach that didn't make the tourny....

Granted we wanted him like no other too but the 'coming home' aspect would've applied to us. For him this was just all about $. Indiana I think had moved down to like their 3rd option. It took them backing up the brinx truck to do it but that's what it took.

I wasn't really counting Stevens I guess cause he just wasn't a serious candidate. But yeah they wanted him if he woulda done it there's no doubt about that.
